When Kate Middleton encountered a heckler while visiting Northern Ireland, people praised her for remaining composed. The Princess of Wales was greeted by Belfast residents earlier this week and informed that she wasn't in her own country.

But during the unpleasant exchange, the Princess of Wales showed great composure, not becoming overwhelmed or irritated. Since assuming the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales upon the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this was Kate Middleton and Prince William's first trip there.

Protester Grabs Kate Middleton's Hand

The couple's most recent trip to Northern Ireland took place in February 2019 after a two-day royal tour. A woman who was interviewing Kate Middleton for a video stated, "Nice to meet you but it would be nicer if it was while you were in your own country," after shaking Kate's hand.

The Princess just smiled and greeted others in the crowd before letting go of the woman's hand and stifling a small laugh in return. She was commended for how she handled the situation by a body language specialist after the encounter, as per Mirror. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Kate Middleton made their first journey to Northern Ireland as Prince and Princess of Wales.

However, the royal couple did make a previous two-day royal tour to Northern Ireland in February 2019. Body language expert Judi James claimed the Princess stood her ground and Kate Middleton has been lauded for maintaining her composure throughout the incident.

In an interview, James said that Kate Middleton will be a gutsy Queen as she was able to deal with the encounter calmly and stood her ground. The woman shakes Kate's hand and says, "That encounter would have been far more uncomfortable for Kate" than just hearing the protester speak.

The protester, according to James, attempted to make Kate feel helpless, but it had the opposite impact because the Princess doesn't miss a beat. The expert also examined Kate Middleton's spoken reaction, claiming that despite having perfectly heard the heckler, the Princess of Wales maintained her cool, according to Express.

Prince William Kate Middleton's Ireland Visit

The royal mother-of-three is seen pouring a cocktail in the couple's highlight film, which they also released online. Prince William is seen playing with two dogs. The pair posted the clip last night and it included several clips from the trip, including the walkabout. The footage, however, omitted the event involving the woman in the heckler.

Instead, a swarm of waving royal admirers could be seen as the camera swung past Kate Middleton embracing schoolchildren. Prince William was seen conversing with members of the public in another video.

During the pair's visit to Carrickfergus, a town in County Antrim north of Belfast, hundreds of people lined the Marine Highway. Local youngsters who had waited for hours to see the royal couple were greeted with handshakes and fist bumps.

They had already visited a neighborhood charity before being welcomed by Mid and East Antrim Mayor Noel Williams. On the morning of their 2011 wedding, the late Queen bestowed upon Prince William and Kate Middleton the titles of Baron and Baroness Carrickfergus, Daily Mail reported.
