Christina Aguilera's Valentine's Day will be one to remember. The 33-year-old singer took to Twitter to share her good news: she engaged! Aguilera's longtime boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, popped the question on Valentine's Day with a huge, diamond sparkler.
"He asked me and I said..." Aguilera captioned a photo showing off her new ring. The two met in 2010 on the set of "Burlesque." This will be the second marriage for Aguilera, who was previously wed to music executive Jordan Bratman.
Aguilera and Bratman ended their marriage on Valentine's Day three years ago. The two have a six-year-old son together named Max. After splitting from Bratman, "The Voice" judge is said to have gained over 40 pounds but she's been recently showing off her slimmer, toned figure.
A source told Life & Style magazine in September that Aguilera lost almost 50 pounds by cutting back on her alcohol intake and eating healthier foods. She would reportedly start her day with blueberries, turkey bacon and half an avocado. Throughout the day she snacked on shrimp cocktail or celery sticks with almond butter.
For lunch, the source said Aguilera would have a chicken breast over a healthy salad hold the creamy dressing and diner would consist of either chicken or fish and a glass of wine. Everyone has noticed the singer's new, svelte figure including members from "The Voice."
"[She's] as happy as can be, as fit as can be and as full of life as can be," Mark Burnett, producer of "The Voice" told Life & Style magazine. "She looks amazing."
"Christina is refreshed and rejuvenated this season [on 'The Voice']. She's really looking after herself and seems genuinely happy inside - and it shows," a source told the magazine.
Besides eating healthier she also teamed up with fitness guru Tee Sorge, who helped her get in shape for her role in "Burlesque."
