An unfortunate Brooklyn house caught fire tragically, and four fatalities resulted from it. The fatalities are three kids, including a 10-month-old baby girl and an adult who were killed in the early morning blaze on Sunday, said the New York Fire Department (FDNY).
Brooklyn House Catches Fire Early Sunday
In a two-story brick house located on Quimby Ave. near Castle Hill, the fire happened at around 6 in the morning, reported the NY Daily News.
Other than the toddler, two boys, about 12 and 10 years old, did not survive, said the cops. But, emergency medical personnel who arrived at the location tried to bring the baby girl and 21-year-old man to the Jacobi Medical Center. The baby girl did not make it despite the effort. The police said she was part of a large family residing in the home. Four fatalities resulted from the accidental flame.
One neighbor, Imlaque Chowdhury, 30, mentioned a large family lived in the house, and their kids played in the yard. He added the flame spread out quickly, and badly damaged the home, noted Yahoo.
He recalls that his neighbors' kids would be out playing in the front with other children. They called them good kids and nice folks.
Four Fatalities From Fire
Sources say that two men, 41 and 42 years old, were also injured. Additionally, three firemen were hurt while fighting to control the flames in the Brooklyn house. Chowdhury remarked that about eight people have lived in the house that caught fire; in the last five years.

A video posted on social media captured a fireman dashing from the flames to an ambulance holding the toddler girl. Later, other firefighters carried another victim from the burning home, and the EMS was doing CPR desperately.
The firefighters were faced with thick smoke and flames on the second story that reached the first floor. The FDNY Assistant Chief, Kevin Brennan, stated the second floor was nearly engulfed in flames as the fire went out of the windows.
Chowdhury said despite the flames, and he pulled a woman and child from the blazing home to his terrace. Alarmed as he was, he described the wildfire that was venting via the windows. He described feeling the heat and smelling the burning wood.
Woman Saved by Neighbor in Brooklyn House Fire
His wife woke him up, and he ran to the opposite side of where he lived after hearing a loud noise. He heard they were knocking and standing by the window, it was zero visibility, and smoke was all over the place. He heard a scream, so he opened the window so that he could grab her and the baby inside the house, citing Finger Lakes Times.
Chowdhury said the apartment is burnt with everything gone, and he is figuring out what to do after the damage to his home. Considering how much worse off the family in the burning house is.
Another neighbor, Linda Torres, 50, also on the same block, was awakened by the screaming outside. She saw the smoke from the back and the flame when the FDNY rammed their way in and got her out.
