Bronny James could not hold back his disappointment when Sierra Canyon's exhibition game versus DeMatha Catholic had to be called off due to an unexpected turn of events.
According to Clutch Points, Sierra Canyon played DeMatha in the "DMV Showcase" in Maryland. DeMatha was up by one point, 52-51, when a brawl broke out in the stands and a gun alarm sounded, sending the crowd into a frenzy and ending the game early.
LeBron James' Son Bronny Rushed Off Court
The spectators and players can be seen hastily running to the exit doors in a viral video that was taken during the event.
It was said that a member of the gym community yelled "gun," causing panic among the students.
Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, took to social media to react. Concerned and alarmed, he remarked, "High schoolers can't even hoop in peace nowadays."

Although it is unknown whether or not a gun was ever drawn, the resulting panic prompted the gym to be cleared out and the night to conclude much sooner than planned, per Scorebook Live. This high-profile gathering appears to have been disrupted by a shocking development, in light of increasing incidents of gun violence in schools in the US.
DeMatha had a nearly 10-point advantage over Sierra Canyon into the final quarter, but the Trailblazers were making a comeback and cutting into the margin.
The home Stags had the fans pumped up and ready to go. In terms of energy, it was like being at an NBA playoff game, according to a report from Etan Thomas of Basketball News. Senior point guard Jaden Winston scored 10 points to lead a well-rounded DeMatha offense, but his true impact came on defense, where he relentlessly pressured the Sierra Canyon backcourt.
Even though Bronny James scored 11 points on just two field goals, the guards' obvious discomfort played a role in the team's inability to consistently get into its offensive settings.
A few things impressed me with this play. The fact that Malcolm @princ3_thomas challenged Bronny up top (yes he did foul him but he also got a lot of the ball too) but the fact that he didn’t move out of the way and just allow the Bronny highlight #NoNo (Shout out to Mutumbo) pic.twitter.com/HK6fKMrSdg

Sierra Canyon was led by Ashton Hardaway, who scored 14 points on the night by a variety of means, including fast-break dunks and offensive putbacks.

Bronny James' Basketball Game Issues Refund
The DeMatha-heavy crowd went wild as he finished the game on a high note with a mid-post move to a turnaround fade. Despite the terrible outcome, Saturday night's basketball game in Prince George's County was excellent. Generally, the audience got their money's worth, despite paying a hefty $15 per person for a preseason exhibition game, Thomas noted.
President of Paragon Marketing Group Rashid Ghazi made released a statement via social media after the game. He explained that they have decided to postpone the event scheduled this coming Sunday due to the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Wise Man High School CBC vs. Stags game.
"We are making the decision out of the utmost caution to ensure player and fan safety. Refunds will be available via Go Fan," Ghaz said.
On day two of the tournament, the son of LeBron James and CBC will play a team made up of Gonzaga Prep students called the "District Eagles" (Washington, DC).
