At his home in Lancaster, California, Aaron Carter, 34, the brother of renowned pop star and Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, was "found dead in his bathtub."

The 911 caller reported that "a man had drowned in the tub" about 11 a.m. on Saturday, according to law enforcement. Although homicide detectives have been sent to the area, there is yet no information or proof of any wrongdoing.

Aaron Carter Dead at 34

Aaron Carter became famous in the 1990s by recording four studio albums, beginning with his self-titled debut album in 1997 when he was just 9 years old and serving as the Backstreet Boys' opening number on a tour.

According to E!, the 34-year-old famously battled addiction for many years, had legal issues, entered treatment, and continued to pursue a career in music. He also engaged in a number of public disputes, including one with his brother Nick Carter, whom he claimed of attempting to place him under a conservatorship like to the one that was applied for Britney Spears.

CNN reported that Aaron Carter disclosed on 'The Doctors' in 2019 that he had been given a diagnosis of "multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, severe anxiety, and manic depression."

Aaron Carter has a son named Prince. Just minutes after the news was announced, Melanie Martin, Prince's mother and on-again, off-again girlfriend, posted a tearful video to TikTok. Martin can be seen sobbing into the camera as she drives in the short clip. Aaron Carter can be heard singing that "he'll be gone but it's not for long" in his final performance before his tragic passing.

Inside Aaron Carter's Troubled Family

The shocking announcement was made the day after the video was uploaded to Instagram. Later on Saturday, Martin was seen crying as he approached Aaron Carter's Lancaster house. Aaron Carter has two sisters, including his twin, Angel, who went tragically in 2012 from a drug overdose at the age of 25, and Leslie.

On Tuesday of last week, Aaron Carter's on-and-off girlfriend Melanie Martin "called the police," leading to the singer being arrested on suspicion of DUI. Aaron Carter was later cleared of all charges.

According to TMZ, the 'I Want Candy' singer was driving an RV in Antelope Valley at approximately 10:45 a.m. when authorities received a report of a possible drunk driver weaving through traffic.

The celebrity underwent field sobriety tests, and the officers concluded that he was not intoxicated. He then managed to lock his keys inside the RV, and pictures of the singer entering the RV through the roof hatch to retrieve them are odd.

Aaron Carter's brother and the rest of the Backstreet Boys have not yet reacted. In addition to a previously announced performance on QVC to promote the group's new Christmas album, the trio is due to perform at The O2 in London on Sunday night as part of their European tour.

When he posted a photo of the pair on Instagram in January 2020, Aaron Carter made the relationship public for the first time. The musician gave an indication that things were serious in February of that year when he called the owner of the eye lash bar his "wife."

To show their dedication to one another, the pair then got engaged in June of last year. However, they called the engagement off soon after. In November 2021, Aaron and Melanie had their first child together. Over the years, the two maintained a rocky on-again, off-again romance. Both his fight with drugs and his mental health difficulties had been made public for Aaron Carter.

The music sensation, who lost his sister at the young age of 25, as well as his father unexpectedly dying away in 2017, was no stranger to tragedy; in an interview, the musician hauntingly stated that he thought he would "die by 30." He later acknowledged feeling "responsible" for the demise of his family members. Aaron Carter, a native of Tampa, Florida, rose to fame as a pop singer when he was just a preteen in the late 1990s; however, he has since switched to rap.

Aaron Carter, who secured his first record deal at the age of nine, opened concerts for the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears throughout his teen years. He put out four albums and made guest appearances on Nickelodeon between 1997 and 2002, as per The Sun.
