Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don't appear to shift from their stance, allegedly cashing in on their royal titles even after standing down as senior working members of the Firm in 2020.

Recent interviews with the couple and forthcoming projects, including Prince Harry's memoir, have raised questions about their ties to King Charles III.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to Keep Royal Titles

There are rumors that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are trying to blackmail the King Charles III, which explains why he's still being lenient when it comes to deciding their fate.

The use of Prince Harry's and Meghan Markle's titles as the Duchess of Sussex, which they have kept even after leaving their positions as royals, has come under scrutiny. Royal commentators have expressed confusion over Lilibet and Archie's parents' continued use of the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which were bestowed upon them by the Queen in 2018.

The couple's ducal titles, according to certain royal officials, are not in danger since doing so would need a Parliamentary Act, as per The News International. According to reports, King Charles III has contacted Parliament to start the process of enacting legislation to amend the 1937 Regency Act.

The Duke of York and the Duke of Sussex would continue to serve as counsellors of state, but it would significantly lessen the possibility that they would be required to fill in for the king. Viscount Stansgate, a Labour peer, questioned how Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, two of the five replacements, could be included when one had "left public life" and the other had "left the nation" last month in the House of Lords.

Princess Anne and Prince Edward, the two siblings of the King who are not now counselors of state, would apparently be permitted to the elite circle under the suggestion made by Britain's new king.

The most senior member of the royal household, Lord Chamberlain Lord Parker of Minsmere, read a signed message to the House of Lords announcing King Charles' intention to increase the number of Royals eligible to represent him. In order to "guarantee continuous efficiency of public business while I am unavailable," according to King Charles, the increase was implemented.

Prince William, Kate Middleton to Play Key Role

The Duke of Sussex, who retired as a working royal and now resides in California, and the disgraced Duke of York are counselors of state who can fill in for the monarch if he is unwell or away on a state visit. The Queen Consort, the four adults who are next in line to the throne, and the advisers designated in the Regency Acts of 1937 to 1953 are now eligible to fill in for King Charles.

Per Mirror, Lord Parker stated in the upper chamber's dispatch box that he had the honor of delivering a message from the King that was "signed by his own hand." As he gets ready to see the President of South Africa in the UK next week, King Charles III will take on the role of state host for the first time as the monarch.

At Buckingham Palace, Cyril Ramaphosa will be welcomed with a lavish feast, according to Daily Express. The Prince of Wales will serve as the successor to the throne during Cyril Ramaphosa's two-day visit next week, according to the Palace, which also revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will also be playing key roles in the events.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the first state visit to the UK in in almost three years; the previous was made in 2019 by then-US President Donald Trump. Additionally, it is the first to occur since the late Queen's passing in September.
