An Apple store car crash in Massachusetts resulted in one dead and several others injured with head trauma, some being left with "mangled limbs."
The incident occurred when an SUV crashed into an Apple store located in Hingham, Massachusetts on Monday morning, said the Plymouth County District Attorney. Civilians located both inside and outside of the Apple store were injured while a few individuals were pinned up against the wall of the building. Hingham Fire Chief Steve Murphy added that bystanders, upon witnessing the accident, immediately helped to provide first aid to victims in the area.
Officials from the South Shore Hospital said that the establishment received several patients with head trauma, mangled limbs, and life-threatening injuries. Authorities also noted that the driver of the vehicle was already with police but did not provide any further information regarding their condition, as per ABC News.
District Attorney Tim Cruz said during a news conference following the crash that investigators were looking into every possibility, including whether or not there was a criminal element to the incident.
Officials identified the fatality as 65-year-old Kevin Bradley from New Jersey who was pronounced dead at the scene, said the prosecutor's office. Cruz called the crash "unthinkable" and noted that people were trying to get through and process what had happened.
According to NBC News, responding officers discovered multiple people with injuries in and around the Apple store. The car was said to have gone straight through to the back of the store, where it pinned some customers and employees to the wall. While officials did not comment on how crowded the store was at the time of the crash, they noted that it was a very busy place.

Apple Store Car Crash Victim
The Apple store identified the fatality as a "professional who was onsite supporting recent construction at the store." The establishment's higher-ups expressed their sympathies to the families of the victims and their team members and customers. They added that they were working on supporting the people affected during the very difficult time.
Authorities removed the SUV from the store at around 3:30 p.m. Cruz added that officials will later have a chance to review all of the necessary documents and tapes. They would work on fighting out exactly what happened and what led to the horrific car crash.
In front of the store, investigators erected a white tent and seemingly used a neighboring restaurant as a staging area. Cruz added that employees were working inside the store when the crash happened and were visibly shaken afterward.
Aerial footage of the crash site showed a large emergency response to the incident as a large hole can be seen in the glass at the front of the Apple store where the SUV drove through. One witness said that they suddenly heard something like a very loud bang and immediately tried to see what had happened, NBC Boston reported.
