Prominent figures join the millions of Americans in celebrating Thanksgiving. On Thursday, some of them posted peeks of their holiday celebrations on social media for the rest of the world to see.

Thanksgiving Through Service

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Today from their Nantucket vacation home as per Glamour. On Twitter, the President thanked the members of the US Armed Forces for defending the country.

In the days before Thanksgiving 2022, President Biden led a long-standing tradition at the White House: the pardoning of turkeys or saving them from the dinner table. Chocolate and Chip are the names of this year's fortunate birds.

Barrack and Michelle Obama published images on their respective social media pages. The ex-president published two images of himself in the kitchen, as per USA Today. He wrote on the caption: "Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving! As we celebrate, let's give thanks for all the blessings in our lives and give back when we can. We're also thinking of the brave men and women serving our country far from their home."

The ex-POTUS also posted on Twitter some of his favorite Thanksgiving jokes.

While former first lady Michelle Obama tweeted and Instagrammed a family photo on Thanksgiving 2022 morning. "I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with love, gratitude, and a whole lot of great food," she said.

Celebrating With Family and Friends

Daily Mail reported that Selena Gomez and her new pals, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, spent Thanksgiving 2022 together. A TikTok video showed the three and their other buddies helping prepare their Christmas lunch.

Their joyous holiday together coincides with persistent tension between Gomez and Francia Raisa, an old friend who also served as the recipient of a kidney donation from Gomez in September 2017 following the former Disney star's extensive struggle with lupus.

Photos of Khloé Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson with a group of teenage inmates celebrating Thanksgiving 2022 together were posted online by Kim Kardashian on November 24. Thompson, a criminal justice reform advocate, said he is thankful to be spend Friendsgiving with the teens.

"These young men have chosen a positive direction to create changes in their lives. Thankful for the experience. Happy Thanksgiving," he said.

Mariah Carey recalled the day she and her twins, now 11 years old, sang "All I Want for Christmas Is You" at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. In her Instagram post, the mult-awarded singer says she is grateful "and so proud of my beautiful kids Roc and Roe."

Jimmy Fallon, anchor of "Late Night," participated in New York City's annual televised parade. Throughout the parade, he made a few appearances and posed for photos with various acts in the event on social media, as per Page Six.

Lea Michele prepared for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday morning like millions of Americans. But her preparation was for a special performance for the special occassion.

The actress and singer, who is presently starring in the Broadway production of "Funny Girl," opened the 96th annual Macy's parade with a smashing presentation alongside other cast members from the play. Before the traditional Thanksgiving holiday, she shared a video on TikTok.
