Brad Pitt claimed that his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and her company had withheld crucial documents throughout their protracted legal dispute, and a Los Angeles judge agreed and set a hearing.
Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie earlier this year after she sold her share of their jointly-purchased, $164 million French chateau and vineyard, Chateau Miraval SA.
Brad Pitt's Legal Battle Over Chateau Miraval Company
Pitt said that they had made a deal not to ever sell their share without the other's consent. He said in 2021 that Jolie claimed in the lawsuit that she had to sell her share since she no longer agreed with owning an alcohol firm. Pitt said that they started looking for a buyer.
However, as their discussions went on, a conclusion in their custody dispute was reached. Brad Pitt said that Angelina Jolie was enraged by the judge's decision to support him before backing out of discussions over the vineyard.
Instead, he said she sold a portion of her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a business that is "indirectly owned and managed" by Yuri Shefler, a Russian tycoon. Pitt said that Shefler had made a "hostile takeover" effort since then.
According to RadarOnline.com, Brad Pitt is asking the judge to nullify the deal. In retaliation, Angelina Jolie's business Nouvel sued Pitt for $250 million. The actor was charged with attempting to take over Chateau Miraval and waste resources for his personal profit as well as the benefit of his own businesses and pals.

Angelina Jolie Slams Brad Pitt
As the sale of their joint company, Chateau Miraval Winery, is at the center of their divorce proceedings, Angelina Jolie is said to have retaliated against Brad Pitt in court filings.
This follows the recent resurfacing of an email in which Angelina Jolie defended her choice to sell her portion of the property The email was written by the Oscar-winning actress in January 2021 in a court filing, and it was shared on TikTok by a user with the name @magshrts1, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
The actress from the film 'Those Who Wish Me Dead' claimed that she had composed the email to avoid becoming emotional while outlining the reasons she had chosen to sell her stake in the vineyard.
The native of Los Angeles claimed that the winery "is also the place that represents the beginning of the end of our family" in addition to being a company that is mostly focused on alcohol.
Pitt "really wanted [her] gone and will probably be glad to hear this email," according to Jolie, who had previously expressed the hope that the winery somehow might become something that tied them together.
"Decisions that have been taken that indicate no desire in sharing the business or fundamentally altering it into something that would be healthy for our children" upset Jolie, she said. Per Daily Mail, Jolie criticized the winery's advertising, claiming that the most recent picture used to market alcohol left her disturbed.
After selling her stake in the winery to Russian businessman Yuri Shefler and Tenute del Mondo, a Stoli Group company, Jolie was sued by Pitt in February. Pitt claimed in court documents that Jolie had not contributed to the project despite having pledged 40% of the $28.4 million they had spent in the vineyard.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who were married in 2014 and divorced in 2016, have fought in court over a number of problems for the previous six years.
