Green has stopped performing with the group while receiving treatment; their recent 'Lonesome Crowded West' tour just ended. In March, they'll resume their concerts in Mexico City.

The band Modest Mouse, well known for the song 'Float On,' was founded by Green. The band was founded in the 1990s by Green, Brock, and bassist Eric Judy. Their debut album was published in 1996. Eight albums, including 'The Golden Casket' from last June, have been issued by the group, as per CNN.

Carol Namatame, Green's mother, originally conveyed the heartbreaking news of her son's illness on Christmas Day in a Facebook post. DJ Marco Collins, a friend of Green's from Seattle, also shared his diagnosis on social media on Sunday.

Collins mentioned Green's "prognosis is good," he wrote, adding the following: "Sending him only love & healing energy! Well done, friend. Everyone is rooting for you!"

Green and his wife Lauren gave birth to their son Wilder, now six, in October 2016, according to Green's Instagram profile. In Bayville, St. Michael, Barbados, Green married Lauren, a local of Kennebunkport, Massachusetts, in March 2017. On March 9, 2017, Green posted a picture of the couple taken at their wedding in the nation of the Caribbean island.

He shared a flashback photo from the wedding ceremony with Lauren and Wilder to commemorate their three-year wedding anniversary in March 2020. Thuja, a vintage apparel and home products shop, was inaugurated by Green and Lauren on May 5, 2017, according to the Port Townsend Ledger. Nevertheless, the COVID-19 outbreak resulted in the store's final closure.

Namatame revealed on Facebook on December 27 that Lauren and Wilder received some holiday happiness from Green's elder brother Adam, according to Fox News.

Modest Mouse Band

Green, who was raised in Moxee, Washington, before moving with his family to the Seattle suburb of Issaquah, was born in Oahu, Hawaii. Together with fellow Issaquah residents Brock and bassist Eric Judy, he established Modest Mouse in 1993.

'This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About,' Modest Mouse's debut album, was released in 1996. 'The Lonesome Crowded West,' their follow-up album, was published in 1997.

The band's critically praised third studio album, 'The Moon & Antarctica,' was released in 2000 following their agreement with Epic Records. Jeremiah Green suffered a mental breakdown in 2003 and took a year off from the band. The fourth studio album by Modest Mouse, 'Good News for People Who Love Bad News,' was released in 2004 at that time. The platinum-selling album was nominated for a

Grammy Award for best alternative music album, while the top-charting song 'Float On' was nominated for best rock song. Later that year, Green joined the band's primary lineup and resumed recording and touring. The group's fifth studio album, 'We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank,' released in 2007, became their first to top the US Billboard 2000 Chart.

Strangers to Ourselves,' Modest Mouse's sixth studio album, was released in 2015. The Golden Casket, their seventh studio album, was released on June 25, 2021.

Numerous fans and artists, such as The Walkmen guitarist Peter Matthew Bauer and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, expressed their well wishes to the 'Float On' band.

Per USA Today, 'The Golden Casket,' the most recent album, was released by Epic records in June. Modest Mouse returned in 2015 with their first new song in eight years, 'Golden Casket,' before.
