As his health gets worse, the 70-year-old Russian dictator has been using more and more body doubles at public events, the report says.
There have been rumors for a long time that Putin is very sick, and the latest ones come after explosive spy documents were leaked to The Sun Online and seemed to confirm he has Parkinson's disease and pancreatic cancer in their early stages.
Vladimir Putin Reportedly Has Parkinson's Disease
The latest rumor about his health comes from the Russian Telegram channel General SVR, which says it gets its information from someone inside the Kremlin.
The channel's allegations are based on sources in Putin's circle, but it doesn't give any other proof. As reported by the channel, Putin has been getting headaches and feeling dizzy at times. It also said that Putin's cancer is slowly getting worse, which is affecting his work and raising questions about his ability to take part in big events.
The channel said that the dictator's doctors will meet next week to talk about how to treat his Parkinson's. The alleged Kremlin insider said that his bad health was the reason why several meetings and speeches had to be canceled in the last week, The Sun reported.
A report in the New York Post says that Russian President Vladimir Putin is getting help from the West in his fight against cancer. Valery Solovey, a Russian historian, and political analyst, said that the 70-year-old is supposedly being kept alive by cancer-slowing medicines made in the West.
People all over the world have always been interested in Mr. Putin's health, and they are even more interested now that Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 of this year. In the past few months, several videos have shown that Mr. Putin's health is getting worse.
Solovey, on the other hand, said that doctors are not very hopeful about his health in the future, even though he is getting cutting-edge care, as per NDTV.
Russian President Cancels Significant Events
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin canceled a trip inside Russia for the second time in a week at the last minute. He didn't go to Pskov, a city near his border with Estonia and Latvia, as planned today.
The move is likely to lead to more rumors or worries about his health or safety. Unfavorable flying conditions were given as the reason for the 180-mile route from St. Petersburg. Still, flights came and went from both airports as usual.
He was supposed to visit a major tank plant in Nizhny Tagil, in the Urals, last Friday, but he canceled at the last minute, even though a lot of work had been done to get ready for the trip. People thought at the time that his health was the reason why the visit was canceled.
Today, he was supposed to go to the Titan-Polymer plant and meet with the governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov. Instead, he ran the meeting from St. Petersburg. Putin has also missed an annual ice hockey game and a meeting of his government ministers at the end of the year, both of which were set for today.
He declined to hold his usual press conference in December, which usually lasted four hours or more. He also didn't give his annual speech to the Federal Assembly this month, as was planned. President Putin, who is said to have cancer and other illnesses, did go to St. Petersburg this week for a meeting of leaders from ex-Soviet states.
But the formal session was shorter than usual, and strange things happened throughout the whole thing. People thought that Putin was like Sauron from Lord of the Rings because he had nine rings made. These "rings of power" were for him and the other leaders in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Putin was made fun of because the rings seemed to show that the other leaders were tied to him. Only Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko wore his ring. Putin was so embarrassed by the event that he didn't even wear the ring he had made for it, according to Mirror.
