Brian Walshe, the husband of missing woman Ana Walshe, has been charged with his wife's murder, allegedly dumped the victim's body after using his son's iPad to search for how to dispose of a body.
New details of the case were revealed during the suspect's arraignment on Wednesday morning on charges of murdering Ana, who was reported missing since January 1, 2023. Brian, who was found to be an art swindler, was slumped over in court and stared straight ahead as prosecutors talked about his alleged actions, his whereabouts, and the evidence against him.

The evidence that investigators were able to gather included roughly 10 garbage bags that contained a hacksaw, hatchet, bloody clothes, bloody rugs, and personal belongings. These include Ana's COVID-19 vaccination card and part of what seemed to be the victim's necklace.
Authorities quickly had the blood found tested in a crime lab, and it revealed that it was from both Brian and Ana, prosecutors said. While investigators have been unsuccessful in recovering the body of the victim, prosecutors said that Ana may have already been incinerated, as per Fox News.
Law enforcement personnel tracked the suspect's cell phone to follow his whereabouts on January 3, 2023. He was found to have traveled to an apartment complex located in Abington, which was roughly a 30-minute drive from his home. It was there that officials believe he tossed what appeared to be a heavy garbage bag.
The bags and what they contained had already been "picked up and taken to a location for shredding and incinerated. When police were about to locate the bags, they were already destroyed, said prosecutor Lynn Beland.
The lack of a body in the case will be the toughest challenge, prosecutors, lawyers, and experts argued. Beland noted that on December 27, 2022, the suspect used the internet to search about what state is the best for divorce.

Disposing of a Body
Some of the searches that Brian made before and after allegedly killing his wife include, "What's the best state to divorce for a man," "Dismemberment and the best ways to dispose of a body," and "Can you be charged with murder without a body." These were read aloud by Beland in court on Wednesday, according to CNN.
In a statement, defense attorney Misty Marris said that the search history gave investigators a blueprint of what to look for and where. Particularly, the searches showed prosecutors that the suspect's focus, after having her wife disappear, was dismemberment and disposal of a body. Marris said that they also showed an insight into Brian's motive.
She said that the entire incident was coming together, noting that the searches were essential in putting together the pieces of the puzzle. John Miller, CNN's chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst, said that Brian basically laid out the questions for his plan.
Prosecutors also argued that what made the situation worse was that Brian used his son's iPad to search some of the things that were revealed in court. The Walshe couple have three sons, and Brian was found to have used one of his kids' devices to search, "10 ways to dispose of a dead body if you really need to," said CBS News.
