Dr. Anthony Fauci responded to Elon Musk and other critics who have criticized the former director of the NIAID's response to the COVID-19 pandemic by asserting that he can explain his actions.
Fauci stated, "I can defend all I've said and done." In hearings regarding the origins of COVID-19, Republican legislators, led by Senator Rand Paul, have vowed to hold Fauci accountable.
Fauci Responds to Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of Twitter, previously teased the public about releasing "The Fauci Files" to expose the now-retired NIAID director by tweeting, "Prosecute/Fauci."
Fauci said he has "much regard for the oversight process" and "absolutely nothing to hide" in congressional hearings. Fauci also addressed Americans' worries following the CDC's initiation of an inquiry into a possible link between the Bivalent Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination and an elevated risk of ischemic stroke among those aged 65 and older.
In a statement released on Friday, the CDC stated that the preliminary signal associated with the Bivalent Moderna COVID-19 vaccination had not been discovered. Fauci stated that it is "still a good idea to get vaccinated" and to have a booster shot, as per Fox News.
Several additional monitoring techniques and surveillance have not detected the signal, and no other country has reported seeing it. During an appearance on 'Your World' on Fox News, host Neil Cavuto asked Fauci what he thought of the "world's richest man - or second richest man now - going after you."
Since Musk's $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in October, the billionaire has provided journalists with internal documents known as "the Twitter Files," which reveal how the social media company's former management decided to filter content on the platform.
Musk reported in December that former Twitter employees maintained a Slack group labeled "Fauci Fan Club." Cavuto remarked that legislative investigations into the government's response to the COVID-19 outbreak, which may be possible given the new GOP control of the House, "may drag on for a long time."
Fauci earlier stated that he would "absolutely" help with a House Republican investigation into the pandemic, which he reiterated to Cavuto, according to NY Post.

Fauci's Ties With Big Pharma Companies
Sunday, comedian Russell Brand sat down with "Open The Books" CEO Adam Andrzejewski to discuss Dr. Anthony Fauci and his ties to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which allegedly received "$1.4 billion in covert third-party royalties over the previous 12 years."
As a whistleblower, Andrzejewski revealed a "culture of secrecy" at the NIH and alleged corruption within the ranks of the corporation where Fauci worked for decades. He explained to Brand that the NIH is a system-facilitating revolving door. Andrzejewski asserts that over the past decade, the NIH's "leadership and 2,400 of its scientists" have benefited from "$1.4 billion of these covert, secret third-party royalties."
He described the situation as a complex web of self-interest involving Fauci and his wife, Dr. Christine Grady. She is currently the head of the Department of Bioethics at the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health. The former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was Anthony Fauci (NIAID). The NIH supervises both institutions.
He went on to note that Fauci has made questionable ethical medical decisions. He went on to claim that Fauci not only indirectly benefited from the discovery of the medicine but was also permitted to use taxpayer funds to bring it to market.
Andrzejewski claims that Fauci never returned the money. Andrzejewski also told Brand that his reporting on Fauci, the highest-paid government official, has badly affected his career. Or, he was so during the pandemic. Fauci has served under multiple presidents and possesses considerable political influence, BizPacNews reported.
