President Joe Biden made a surprise video cameo during first-time presenter Aubrey Plaza's monologue on 'Saturday Night Live.'

The 'White Lotus' star, who, like President Biden, hails from Delaware, quipped that she had been named the state's most famous resident, beating out the president.

Plaza stated, "That is a fact, and he was angry, he was furious."

Biden then arrived via video and stated, "Aubrey, you are undoubtedly the most renowned person from Delaware. We're just thankful that you survived "White Lotus."

CNBC reported that Biden uploaded the video to his Twitter account on Sunday afternoon, even though many users questioned if the president's look was real or created by artificial intelligence. Later in the act, cast members made light of Biden's handling of confidential information, despite his willingness to participate in the Delaware joke.

The FBI announced on Saturday that further classified documents were discovered at Biden's Wilmington home, marking the fourth time since November that classified records or materials had been discovered at Biden's private property. In 2018, readers of Delaware's News Journal newspaper voted Plaza the most famous person in the state, with more votes than the following four finalists combined. Biden placed sixth.

Plaza's production company poked fun at Biden at the time by tweeting, "What's up, @JoeBiden?"

Per The Hill, Biden's appearance on SNL did not deter cast members from making jokes about him. Michael Che and Colin Jost made light of the ongoing probe into confidential papers on 'Weekend Update,' saying that one of the classified Obama-era documents was his own birth certificate.

Joe Biden's Approval Rating

According to a new Reuters/Ipsos survey, President Joe Biden's popularity rating was close to its all-time low this week in the wake of Republican criticism over classified documents found in his house in recent months. The three-day nationwide survey, which concluded on Sunday, revealed that 40% of Americans approved of Biden's work as president, up from 39% in a Reuters/Ipsos survey conducted one month prior.

Biden began 2023 heartened by Democrats' surprisingly good midterm election performance. The Republican Party looked to be in disarray as it took many days to pick a speaker of the US House of Representatives.

The most recent polling data, however, suggests that these variables may have remained the same as the public's perception of the president as he prepares for a re-election run in 2024. Sources informed Reuters that Biden, 80, is poised to begin a second bid for the White House following his State of the Union address on February 7.

In recent days, Republicans in Congress have criticized the president after the White House reported in January that Biden's attorneys discovered secret materials at his residence in Wilmington, Delaware, around the beginning of November - before the midterm elections.

Republicans have asserted that Biden's team was not forthcoming about the discoveries and that the delay was significant given that the administration was already investigating former Republican president Donald Trump's handling of classified documents he kept at his Florida resort after leaving office in January 2021.

The Justice Department has assigned special counsels to investigate Trump's and Biden's document-handling practices. Biden assumed office amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and his presidency has been defined by the economic repercussions of the global health crisis, particularly rising prices.

In May and June of 2022, his approval rating dropped as low as 36%. The Reuters/Ipsos survey also revealed widespread discontent with Washington's leadership.

Only 20% of respondents expressed approval for US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, the nation's highest-ranking elected Republican figure. Only 35% of respondents held a favorable opinion of the US House of Representatives, while 38% held a favorable view of the US Senate, as per The Strait Times.
