The attack on a Dnipro apartment building, which resulted in the deaths of 35 civilians, is just another instance of horrible human fatalities in Ukraine as Russia continues its airstrike assault.

According to reports, Vladimir Putin's forces struck one location 44 times over the weekend, including a kindergarten, while Russia and battalions commanded by Wagner Group mercenaries advanced in the country's east.

Then, the news that the British government would send a squadron of high-powered assault helicopters to aid Kyiv's army signaled that assistance was imminent. The United Kingdom will send Apache helicopters to Ukraine, according to many tweets sent on January 14 and 15, 2022.

Over 2.5 million people viewed a tweet by Ukraine Battle Map claiming that the United Kingdom will send four Apache attack helicopters equipped with Hellfire missiles to Ukraine. Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year, Western allies have provided several assault helicopters. The United States has donated twenty Mi-17s in addition to hundreds of other pieces of equipment, as per Newsweek.

The United States also reached an agreement with the Polish government in September 2022 to equip Poland with 100 Apaches manufactured in the United States, so enhancing NATO's fighting strength along the eastern border with Russia. Air support and anti-aircraft weapons have been crucial in the war against Russia, which has punctuated the combat with lethal bombings across the nation and the front line.

A shipment of Apaches, the most advanced types of which are faster than Russian attack helicopters, may have bolstered Ukraine's air superiority. The report appeared on several British news websites, such as the Daily Mirror and the Daily Star, and was also taken up by Russian official media.

According to the latter, a "top defense source" told the Sunday People that the Apache "will be a big game-changer." However, the helicopters have not been delivered to the Ukrainian military. A representative for the British Ministry of Defense informed Newsweek that no Apaches were being transferred to Ukraine, despite the absence of an official declaration.

The United Kingdom has yet to explain why or where the notion may have originated, although it has been open about its intended assistance to Ukraine. Following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on January 14, 2022, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak revealed that the United Kingdom would deliver Challenger 2 tanks and additional artillery systems to Kyiv.

If the government had opted to send Apaches, it would have undoubtedly been announced in one of these announcements. The United Kingdom is the second-largest military donor to Ukraine. Prime Minister Sunak stated that his government would fulfill or surpass the £2.3 billion expenditure pledge it made to Kyiv in 2022.

This contribution, however, pales in comparison to that of the United States, which, according to the Department of State, has contributed "roughly $24.3 billion" since February 24, when Russia started its planned, unjustified, and cruel attack against Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom confirmed to Newsweek that Apache helicopters would not be supplied to Ukraine. Since then, the report has been withdrawn from the UK news sites where it was initially believed to have originated. Boris Johnson implores the West today to immediately provide Ukraine with the weaponry it needs to beat Vladimir Putin, as per Daily Mail.

In an exceptionally effective and impassioned rallying cry, the former prime minister asserts that if Kyiv receives the proper armaments, it can win the war this year. Johnson asserts that with hundreds of tanks and other armaments, it might be "game over" for Vladimir Putin, but he wonders, "What the hell are we waiting for?" in response to Germany and others' hesitation.

Britain is the only nation that has committed to deploying tanks to aid in the war against the Russians, but more than the 14 tanks already allocated will be needed to win the conflict.

Volodymyr Zelensky's requests that Germany surrenders up to 2,000 Leopard 2 tanks operated by NATO members have been disregarded. In a scathing critique of Berlin's excuses and delays, Johnson warned that the dithering was costing lives and generating economic distress worldwide.

In an apparent shot across Rishi Sunak's bows, he said there should be no idle British tanks in our nation when they may be deployed to free Ukraine. Johnson's call to arms followed his unexpected weekend trip to Ukraine. The former prime minister was summoned by President Zelensky, who has previously lauded him.

Under Johnson, the United Kingdom was the first to provide military help to Kyiv as Russian tanks crossed its borders eleven months ago. Johnson, who also demanded the prompt approval of Ukraine's NATO membership application, was spotted in Borodyanka, a town severely destroyed by Russian bombardment. He deemed it an "honor" to be present to demonstrate unity.

Johnson disregarded concerns that deploying tanks to Ukraine might intensify the battle, persuading Putin and his Kremlin allies to employ nuclear weapons.

Due to the political repercussions for Russia, he claimed he did not believe it "for one second." He predicted that Putin would lose China's assistance, which is now propping up the Russian economy, and that the populace would turn against him. According to Johnson, the Ukrainians are so courageous that even a nuclear weapon would not stop them from fighting.

Russia Warns Against Supplying Ukraine With Weapons

Meanwhile, Russia issued a threat of retaliation against the United States and other Western nations if they furnish Ukraine with more potent weaponry, claiming that further military help from allies will result in a "global catastrophe."

Late last week, supporters of Ukraine pledged billions of euros in armored vehicles, air defense systems, and other armaments to the beleaguered European nation, although they did not include the German combat tanks that Kyiv had requested.

Ukraine has been searching for additional arms to prepare for a Russian attack in the spring. On Friday, defense officials from over 50 nations gathered in Ramstein, Germany, to discuss Ukraine's requests for further military assistance. According to NY Daily News, they made new pledges of aid but could not agree on delivering German-built Leopard 2 tanks.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy director of the Russian Security Council, said on a messaging app channel that the conference in Germany "left no doubt that our adversaries would try to tire or perhaps kill us."

He added that Russia might build a military alliance with states that resist the United States. He did not identify anyone, but Russia was mentioned.
