On Wednesday, on his podcast The Squeeze, which he co-hosts with his wife, Taylor Dome, Taylor Lautner revealed his struggle with body dysmorphia.

In the past, the 30-year-old actor, who tied the knot with Dome, 25, in November, stated that he struggled with being overly concerned with his appearance.

Taylor Dome Says She's 'Deceased'

In a video from their podcast on Tik Tok, Taylor Dome asked Taylor Lautner, "If you could go back to one time in your life, what would it be, and what would you say to yourself?"

"Probably the 2009 VMA, when I presented Taylor with the award and was unaware that the Kanye thing was not a skip," he claimed, leading his Dome to recoil in shock visibly and exclaim, "I'm deceased."

West, who now uses the name "Ye," famously interrupted Swift's victory speech to declare, "Imma let you continue, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos!"

Dome said that Lautner and Swift, who briefly dated in 2009, had just made their relationship public. Taylor Lautner stated that after presenting Taylor Swift with the award, he "took five steps back and was standing five feet behind her" as West stormed on stage during her acceptance speech.

According to CNN, Taylor Lautner stated that he was not aware it wasn't planned until Taylor Swift turned around and he could see her face. Lautner revealed in 2016 that Swift's 2010 song 'Back to December' was inspired by him.

Taylor Lautner Had Body Issues

Moreover, Lautner, who portrayed Jacob Black in the Twilight film series, stated that one's mental health should always precede physical looks. Lautner stated,

"Value does not derive from what you see when you look in the mirror," adding that he once adhered to this erroneous belief. He stated that he mistakenly believed that once he had the body he desired, something would snap, and he would be happy, according to Daily Mail.

Lautner stated on the podcast that he regrets Kanye West's controversial interruption of Taylor Swift, with whom he was romantically connected at the time, during her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

In retrospect, Lautner, associated with Swift between August and December of 2009, believes the interaction was a deception.

He recounted that West, who has often expressed anti-Semitic sentiments in recent months, "jumped off" the stage, Swift "finished," and "the second she came back around, and I saw her face for the first time, I was like, "Oh. No, that was not good."'

Lautner revealed that he ended up giggling on stage to play along with the joke, but it wasn't until he saw Swift's look that he realized it wasn't part of the show's screenplay.

The famous song contains lyrical references to the 2009 VMA, which was held on September 13. She sings, "I miss your tan, your sweet smile. So good to me, so right. And how you held me in your arms that September night. The first time you ever saw me cry."
