Super Bowl fans are almost just as excited about the commercials as they are with the games during the annual final playoff game, and they have become a must-watch, whether for better or worse.
Super Bowl 57 follows tradition this year, and its commercials are filled with celebrities, including Anna Faris, Ben Affleck, Miles Teller, and Steve Martin. Also, some commercials brought nostalgia to some fans with references to famous shows such as "Clueless" and "The Breaking Bad."
Best Super Bowl 57 Commercials
With many commercials and references, some fans have ranked their favorite and least favorite. Here are our three best Super Bowl 57 commercials:
Miles Teller for Bud Light
Miles Teller, known for his roles in "Whiplash" (2014), "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022), and "Fantastic Four" (2015), showcases Bud Light's place in many fans' hearts. The commercial is simple and mostly silent. It features Teller with his apparent partner waiting for customer support to pick up their call, and the two choose to drink a can each to keep the moment from being too stale, as per Fansided.
Alicia Silverstone for Rakuten
Rakuten, a Japanese technology conglomerate based in Tokyo, brought Alicia Silverstone back to seemingly reprise her role as Cher from Clueless. The commercial highlights the character's apparent domineering attitude to entice viewers to use the company's app, allowing users to get cash back for various purchases and expenditures.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul for Popcorners
But what seems to be Super Bowl fans' favorite commercial is bringing back Breaking Bad's two iconic characters, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The commercial features Cranston and Paul's characters from the show that focuses on the struggles of a school chemistry teacher.
Instead of manufacturing meth to gain more money, White (Cranston) and Pinkman (Paul) instead turn to create various flavors of Popcorners, as shown by Digg.
Worst Super Bowl 57 Commercials
We cannot deny that the highly awaited Super Bowl 57 will feature annoying ads. The three Super Bowl 57 commercials that everyone will recognize as worst are listed below:
Jack Harlow for Doritos
While technically good in its own right, Jack Harlow's, an American rapper, commercial for Doritos sees him looking for something new to spice up his career. He turns to use a triangle as an instrument, and, despite seemingly poised to fail, he instead makes a new trend. However, it fails to reach similar comedic heights as other sketches of the same base.
Anna Faris for Avocados From Mexico
Comedian Anna Faris takes on a religiously-centered commercial that may not fit the taste of many faith-based fans. This commercial takes inspiration from the story of Adam and Even but instead of a forbidden apple, it is an avocado.
Brie Larson, Jon Hamm, and Pete Davidson for Hellmann's
Sometimes, more is not merrier, and Hellmann's take on a play on words is questionable with their Super Bowl 57 commercial. It shows Larson and Hamm, miniature versions at least, inside a refrigerator because they are "ham" and "brie."
Next comes Davidson, who makes an odd joke about eating the other two about making a sandwich made with ham and cheese (brie). Many fans would probably share Hamm's reaction to Davidson's statements, with one word encapsulating their feelings; "weird," as explained by TVLine.
