President Joe Biden and the First Lady are praying for the victims of Monday night's terrible shooting at Michigan State University, according to a statement released by the White House on Tuesday.

Biden indicated that he talked with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer last night and ordered the deployment of all federal law enforcement personnel required to assist local and state response operations.

Biden also mentioned the fifth anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in Parkland, Florida, which occurred less than twenty-four hours after the shooting in Michigan. The president remarked that the timing "should prompt every American to shout 'enough!' and demand action from Congress."

The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety named Brian Fraser and Alexandria Verner as two students murdered in a mass shooting on Monday evening. Verner was a junior, while Fraser was a sophomore. According to a police announcement, the third victim's identity will not be released out of respect for the "family's wishes." The report states that five students remain hospitalized in critical condition.

The children of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel are students at Michigan State University and are "shaken up" by the incident, she told CNN. As the inquiry into the incident continues, according to Nessel, there are "many unsolved questions."

Nessel refused to comment on the contents of a note found on the gunman who targeted two New Jersey schools, stating, "I cannot speak to it at this time." However, she did indicate that she is seeking answers to other matters.

Police say a shooter killed three students and injured five others at Michigan State University on Monday night before shooting himself dead off-campus in East Lansing. According to investigators, the shooter opened fire at two campus locations, an academic building, and a student union area, triggering an hours-long manhunt while students huddled in place.

Per The Hill, Biden met with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) on Monday evening to offer federal assistance as the state deals with the aftermath of the incident. Since assuming office, Biden has issued many executive orders addressing gun violence, some of which focus on cracking down on the use of difficult-to-trace "ghost firearms."

The Justice Department has also utilized increased funds and task groups focused on gun violence to combat the issue. Still, mass shootings continue to be a frequent issue. Officials from the Biden administration have stated that it is a priority for the president, albeit they have admitted that he can only do so much without congressional action.

In the wake of a mass shooting at a Texas elementary school in Uvalde last year, lawmakers enacted a bipartisan gun safety package. The measure strengthened background checks for gun buyers between 18 and 21, made the acquisition of weapons through straw purchases or trafficking a federal violation, and defined the definition of a federally registered firearm dealer.

Michigan State University Shooting Suspect

Meanwhile, Anthony McRae's father claims he became "evil and spiteful" following his mother's stroke-related death in 2020 and stopped his warehouse job to remain at home and play video games.

McRae, 43, committed suicide last night after senselessly killing three MSU students. He hurt five others. His father, Michael, 66, described him today as a "mama's boy" who became "evil and cruel" when his mother Linda died unexpectedly three years ago. Together, they resided in McRae's family home, approximately five miles from the MSU campus.

Two victims of McRae have been identified. Alexandria Verner and Brian Fraser are their names. The third victim's family has requested that their name not be made public.

McRae was discovered with a message implying a threat against two public schools in Ewing, New Jersey, that were shuttered 'out of an abundance of caution' for the day. He urged his youngster to confide in him, identifying himself as "daddy."

McRae's father claims he told him he "got rid" of his pistol, although neighbors complained about him shooting in the backyard. According to his neighbors, he shot in the backyard.

His co-workers from the warehouse said he was God-fearing and attempting to "turn his life around." According to his father, McRae's work was to put refrigerators into trucks. His older brother Michael stated he was still trying to digest it.

Anthony went to Lansing with his parents when he was 23 due to his father's relocation to General Motors. Furious After today's massacre at Michigan State University occurred barely 15 months after Ethan Crumbley killed four students at Oxford High School, Michigan Democrats called for gun control.

Children who evacuated Crumbley only 15 months ago are among the survivors of last night's shooting. Andrea Ferguson's daughter is in her first semester at MSU. She remained in position during the attack yesterday night. Jennifer Mancini is an additional mom whose daughter was involved in both incidents. The shooter in last night's incident was identified as Anthony McRae, a 43-year-old man with no known links to the school, by police this morning.

It remains unknown what his purpose for the shooting was or the weapon he used. McRae killed himself before the police came to him, having murdered three MSU students at two locations on campus last night and injured five more. The identities of these victims will be disclosed later today, as per Daily Mail.
