'Death Bed’ Plea: Meghan Markle’s Estranged Father Seeks Reconciliation

Thomas Markle asked, "How can I fix this?"

In a dramatic preview for a forthcoming TV special, Meghan Markle's father, Thomas, publicly pleads for them to repair their strained relationship.

The 78-year-old, apparently in terrible condition after a stroke last year, is shown showing images of a young Meghan to get her attention, according to ET.

In a preview for an upcoming episode of Australia's 7NEWS Spotlight, he asks the Duchess of Sussex, "How can I fix this?"

Meghan's half-siblings, Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr., will also appear in the upcoming TV special, which promises to reveal "treasured memories, secret tapes, and home truths."

In the program, Samantha Markle, 58, claims that Meghan's father, a retired Hollywood lighting director, is the only reason she isn't still working as a waitress. She also criticized Meghan's marriage to Harry, calling it "toxic," per the New York Post.

The interview's preview also reveals that Meghan's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., is prepared to spill the beans on the family strife.

Thomas Markle pleads with his daughter Meghan to return to the family fold after hearing that she will not accompany Prince Harry to King Charles' coronation. Instead, Meghan and Harry will be spending time at their California home with their children, Archie and Lillibet.

Meghan Markle Reportedly Wants To Reach Out To Her Dad

According to Mirror, a source said that despite their estrangement, Meghan Markle worries about her father and would want to find a means to contact Thomas Markle discreetly without implicating other family members.

Duchess of Sussex's tense relationship with her father was made public after Thomas was found working with the paparazzi to arrange images of Meghan and Harry ahead of their wedding.

Meghan Markle blamed tabloid culture for the collapse of her relationship in a 2022 interview with The Cut magazine.
