Donald Trump Speaks Up on Bud Light - Dylan Mulvaney Controversy After Weeks of Silence

The former US president shared his two cents on the backlash on Truth Social.

Donald Trump, who was tight-lipped over the Bud Light and Dylan Mulvaney controversy, broke his weeks-long silence in a social media post on Sunday.

Some right-wingers were appalled with the notable silence of Trump as conservatives kicked off a widespread boycott campaign on Bud Light. The uproar comes after the alcoholic beverage brands partnered with trans influencer Mulvaney.

According to Business Insider, right-wingers cannot help but notice that former president Trump was seemingly out of his character when the Bud Light uproar exploded. The Republican leader was deafeningly silent on the issue as the weeks passed.

Even as the MAGA leader continued to share his two cents on relevant topics on his Truth Social account, he never spoke about Bud Light or Mulvaney. But this time, Trump has finally broken his odd silence about the partnership that triggered a widespread backlash from conservatives.

As per Newsweek, the former president of the United States (POTUS) took a swipe at the alcoholic beverage brand. He shared his two cents on the Bud Light backlash in his recent post on Truth Social, the social media he owns. He did so while promoting a book that seeks to "defund" firms deemed "leftist woke."

Following the backlash from his fellow conservatives, Trump says that "it is time to beat the Radical Left at their own game." The Republican politician further wrote that Ansheusers-Busch now understands that "money does talk," referring to its plummeting sales amid the widespread boycott among right-wingers.

The uproar from conservatives and anti-trans folks blew up after the trans influencer, Mulvaney, posted a sponsored post by Bud Light, which featured commemorative beer cans. The customized design, which features the face of the trans woman, celebrates her gender transition to "girlhood."

In a bid to understand why Trump was uncharacteristically silent, The Independent learned that the ex-President has financial interests in the Bud Light parent. It turns out that he is an investor in Anheuser Busch InBev. He owns roughly $5 million shares in the beverage maker.

Despite that, he still broke his silence on the issue, which his fellow right-wingers have been so passionate about these days. Meanwhile, the eldest son of the former US president, his namesake Donald Trump Jr., has previously urged conservatives to end the boycott campaign against Bud Light.

In a separate report by Business Insider, Trump Jr. says in a podcast that the Bud Light maker "[does not] participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates." He further said that he does not partake in "destroying" the "iconic" firm, Anheuser-Busch, over its partnership with the trans influencers.
