Tucker Carlson To Relaunch Show on Twitter After Accusing Fox of Fraud, Contract Breach

The dismissed Fox News host says Twitter is a non-partisan platfrom.

Tucker Carlson, the dismissed Fox News host, announced that he is relaunching his TV show on Twitter two weeks after parting ways with the cable news channel.

His announcement reportedly comes after the lawyer of the ousted host accused Fox News of fraud and breach of contract.

Rumor has it that the former Fox News personality recently had a conversation with the ultra-billionaire Elon Musk, who now owns Twitter, among other tech firms like Tesla and SpaceX. The details of their talk remain clandestine.

This time, Carlson took to Twitter, the Musk-owned juggernaut, to announce what he plans to do moving forward, weeks after abruptly exiting Fox. As per BBC, the former TV host confirmed they are relaunching "a new version of the show [we have] been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter."

Besides the usual stuff he did in the show on Fox, he plans to bring some changes with the revamp. He notes, "We bring some other things too, which [we will] tell you about."

On top of that, The Guardian reports that Carlson took a swipe at the mainstream media, blurting out that they distort the truth for propaganda. On the other hand, he touts that Twitter is "not a partisan site," adding that it welcomes everyone.

The news outlet points out that Twitter opened its doors to conservative folks, previously banned over spreading disinformation and hate speech when Musk took the helm of the service. In the recent video of Carlson, he never mentioned the name of Mr. Tweet, which chatter says he previously met with.

According to Axios, the relaunch of his show on Twitter would technically breach the contract of the TV host with the news network. However, his lawyers argue otherwise. Before Carlson posted his announcement on the Musk-owned social network, his legal team reportedly contacted Fox. His lawyers accuse Fox of being the first to breach the contract, the sources of Axios disclose.

Technically, Carlson's contract with Fox should last several months since it only ends in January 2025. Despite being ousted on TV, Fox wants to continue compensating its long-time host until their contract ends. It should suppress Carlson from joining a rival network or setting up a similar show.

However, the letter that the lawyers of the former TV host sent to Fox essentially argues that the contract is no longer valid after the network allegedly violated it first. All of this comes two weeks after Fox surprisingly announced that it had parted ways with its long-time host, Carlson, who gained widespread popularity during the presidency of ex-POTUS Donald Trump.
