The much-anticipated crossfade feature on Apple Music graces iPhone users with the release of the all-new iOS 17, according to 9to5 Mac.

Apple Music listeners have long awaited the crossfade feature on iPhones as it lets songs seamlessly blend into each other. In other words, it creates a more continuous and harmonious overall streaming experience.

And now, with the highly-anticipated release of iOS 17, music lovers can enjoy seamless transitions between songs, creating an immersive listening experience like never before.

As per Android Police, Apple Music's crossfade feature has been available to Android users since 2020.

While iOS 17 is the bearer of this exciting feature, it is worth noting that Apple's crossfade is familiar to the music scene. It had graced previous iterations of Apple Music before taking a brief hiatus. But this time, with its return, the feature has undergone refinements, promising a more polished and seamless performance.

Apple says the new "Crossfade Between Songs" feature provides users a smooth transition between the tracks they are listening to "so the music never stops."

9to5 Mac notes that the feature is rolling out on iOS 17 Beta 1. But given that it is still in the beta phase, it still comes with bugs and issues, which might affect the overall experience.

But if you want to get your hands on the new Apple Music feature immediately, you must install the latest iOS 17 update.

Once the new iOS version is installed, you may apply the crossfade between songs. To do so, go to the "Settings" of the app. From there, head to "Music" and select the "Crossfade" option. Then, toggle the switch to enable seamless transitions between songs.

If you are patient enough, the stable version of iOS 17 likely debut sometime in September. Phone Arena reports that the rollout is in time for the much-awaited release of the next-generation Apple flagship, the iPhone 15 lineup.

The Cupertino-based tech giant introduced new exciting features of the iOS 17 during its WWDC 2023 event. The update is set to roll out free of charge to millions of iPhone users, starting from the iPhone XS and beyond.
