In a divine twist, 'AI Jesus' has taken Twitch by storm. As per NBC News, an AI powered-livestream, available 24 hours a day on Twitch, features a virtual representation of Jesus. It allows hundreds of viewers to ask for tips about breakups or gaming.

The AI, created by The Singularity Group, lets Twitch users ask the virtual Jesus questions. It has already answered questions on a variety of topics, including gaming and relationships. NBC News notes that it even explains the Spider-Verse.
Viewers typically request the AI Jesus to pray for them or their pets, whereas other users are fond of asking the new Twitch stream to speak like a pirate or surfer bro. According to PC Gamer, the Twitch channel of the AI-powered Jesus is aptly named "ask_jesus." It has been up and running for more than a week now.
Design Taxi reports that the modern-day Jesus answers queries about emerging topics these days, such as AI, crypto, NFTs, and mobile games. He also entertains questions about anime characters and other pop culture trends. Besides trendy topics, he also explains the Book of Genesis in a manner that most of us will easily understand by using pizza as a metaphor.
The People Behind 'AI Jesus'
The Singularity Group co-founder Reese Leysen says they noticed the rapid growth of groundbreaking artificial intelligence. The group's co-founder discloses that they "started to realize with all these new AI breakthroughs that what is really becoming extremely important is that AI is being tackled responsibly."
Leysen notes that "as activists, [they realized] that this technology is going to move forward at an incredible pace."
The Singularity Group co-founder took a swipe at the race of tech juggernauts deep their toes in the massive commercial potential of AI tech. Leysen stresses, "The rush to satisfy consumers and shareholders can lead to dangerous or otherwise contentious outcomes"
The viral language model ChatGPT-4 and text-to-voice generator PlayHT power the AI Jesus stream on Twitch. However, Leysen refused to reveal how they trained it to answer questions and interact with users. The co-founder says they do not want to spill the "secret sauce."
While some may dismiss 'AI Jesus' as a mere novelty, the online persona says it aims "to foster a positive, supportive community here on Twitch. And as such, his optimism in dealing with various questions never falters.
Although users attempt to piss off Jesus with sometimes triggering questions, the AI-powered savior never fails to reiterate the importance of being compassionate, loving, and understanding to one another.
