Samsung released a 36-second video teaser clip of the next Galaxy smartphone, just before the Unpacked 5 event, February 24.
Samsung is undoubtedly well-versed in playing its "Unpacked" game for years and just three days ahead of its most-anticipated "Unpacked 5" event, the tech giant released a short teaser video for "The Next Galaxy."
The 36-second video clip starts by featuring different moments in life associated with words like "wet," "party," "social," "courage," "selfie," and others. The associated words are accompanied by the superscripted number "5," just like the theme of the event. Though it does not mention the Galaxy S5 by name, the video hints at various features the Next Galaxy will carry.
There have been various interpretations made linking the words shown in the video with possible features that will be in the upcoming flagship. Connecting the dots with possible specs of Galaxy S5 leads us to conclude that certain words, like "wet" and "outdoor," could simply mean the Galaxy S4 will be waterproof and dustproof, a feature which is seen in Sony's flagship devices.
The video also shows words like "selfie", which could mean an upgraded front camera with auto focus and other words like "focus", "alive" and "moment" hint at S5's new camera capabilities, such as Full HD capture and video and integrated sharing. Another interesting reference to the word "speed" in the video could mean the S5 will feature the latest Exynos Infinity CPU chipset with 64-bit architecture. The video also mentions "fit," hinting at a possible integration with upgraded S Health app. This could also help with Samsung's rumored Galaxy Gear 2 watch that is likely to be shown at the event, Monday.
While these interpretations are based on unofficial leaked reports, no one but Samsung knows what this all means. The big mystery will finally be solved on Monday at the "Unpacked 5" event in Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona.
