A Utah man, who allegedly threatened United States (US) President Joe Biden was shot and killed by the FBI.
The charging documents say the man, Craig Deleeuw Robertson, also intended to kill a New York prosecutor. He is also accused of threatening other Democratic officials.
FBI Shoots Utah Man Who Allegedly Threatened Joe Biden
A Utah man, who had allegedly made chilling threats against President Joe Biden and other US officials, found himself in a deadly confrontation with the FBI.
As per The New York Times, an FBI agent fatally shot a man in Utah, which allegedly threatened to kill President Biden hours before he visited Salt Lake City. The officials say the accused is armed.
According to NPR, the White House confirmed that the President is aware of the incident. However, it says that specific questions regarding the fatal shooting are best to be addressed by the FBI.
The FBI told NPR that it is already "reviewing an agent-involved shooting" in Utah. Furthermore, the federal agency says it takes "all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously." With that in mind, the Bureau's Inspection Division is now looking into the incident. In other words, the shooting is still under investigation.
The Utah man had been under the radar of law enforcement agencies due to his alleged threats to incite violence. Besides threatening to assassinate Biden, the 75-year-old Provo resident allegedly threatened to shoot other Democratic officials, according to charging documents.

Threat to Kill Other Elected Officials
As People reports, the charging documents filed at the US District Court in Salt Lake City disclosed that Robertson allegedly threatened to kill other elected officials. He is facing three charges, one of which is "knowingly and willfully" threatening to kill President Biden.
The complaint alleges that the Utah resident said, "I hear Biden is coming to Utah. Digging out my old ghillie suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle." He also called the US President a "buffoon-in-chief."
Apart from his alleged threat to assassinate Biden, the complaint also declared that he also threatened to kill the New York County District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who is currently working on the former President Donald Trump's criminal investigation.
The charging documents also revealed that Robertson also allegedly made threats against, California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, US Attorney General Merrick Garland, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
