The X platform will no longer show headlines of news and other written articles. This was confirmed by Elon Musk, saying that the new feature will soon be rolled out.
X Social Network Will No Longer Show News Headlines
According to Tech Crunch's latest, the new feature of X—formerly Twitter—will display news links without headlines.
Descriptions will also be removed once this enhancement is rolled out. Elon Musk said that the new functionality will add aesthetics to the platform.
"This is coming from me directly. Will greatly improve the esthetics," said the billionaire via his official Twitter reply.
This means that the X feature will focus mainly on making the social media platform more visually appealing.
As of writing, when news articles or other written content are posted on X, the headlines and summary texts are shown.
Aside from this, the header image can also be seen in the preview card of the posts. But, these will all change once the new feature arrives.
If X users posted a link without manually providing the description on their posts, other people will only see the link accompanied by the image used for the article.

What X Users Say About the Feature
Experts said that the new feature for X aims to lessen the height of a post. This will allow more posts to fit on one screen.
Aside from this, they explained that Musk thinks that the new enhancement will reduce clickbait. But, this is still in question since X users can still type clickbait descriptions on their posts.
Many people agreed with Elon Musk, saying that the new feature will enhance the social media platform more.
They added that more images and less text will make the website more appealing. Some of them also stated that the new X feature will make it easier for users to scan through news feeds.
Meanwhile, others doubt the upcoming enhancement. But, they said that they are willing to try the new feature to see if it will be efficient or not.
