Hulk Hogan's Sober Journey: WWE Star Loses Almost 20KG!
According to The New York Post's latest report, the 70-year-old wrestling star began his alcohol abstinence on New Year's Eve of 2022.
Hulk Hogan said that he wanted to take a short break from the booze. However, he already avoided drinking alcohol for eight months now.
The WWE Hall of Famer decided to do this when his alcohol consumption started getting worse. Hogan explained that drinking booze led to serious binge-eating moments, which are taking a toll on his body.
When TMZ interviewed the WWE star and asked him how his body responded to his new diet, the wrestler said that "it changed everything."
"I wasn't eating late at night -- I wasn't eating junk food anymore," said Hogan.
He added that his alcohol abstinence helped him lose around 20 kg (40 lbs). As of writing, the Hulkster said that he's feeling good.
Hogan also said that he is having an easier time keeping up with his fiance, Sky Daily, thanks to his sober journey.
Of course, the WWE star is aware that there will be moments when he will drink alcohol. But, he promised that he would no longer do it every day, saying it would be occasional.
Is He Preparing for Something?
Recently, Hogan said he is considering having a retirement match before he leaves WWE.
But, he didn't clarify if his sober journey is a part of his preparation. As of press time, there's no indication if the Hulkster's plan will really happen.
Although this is the case, his sober journey will not be enough for him to fight his alleged retirement match.
Hulk Hogan previously shared that he is battling his pain pill addiction.
The wrestler explained that he was consuming painkiller pills because he had to endure twenty-five procedures for numerous injuries.
"I had doctors writing me prescription after prescription, and all of a sudden, it became a vicious cycle," he explained.
