According to Engadget's latest report, the latest iPhone 15 lineup is suffering from a boot loop issue. This means that it affects the standard and pro variants.

This bug happens when users are setting up their newly purchased iOS devices. Those who already experienced it said that they get stuck on the Apple logo while transferring their data and apps to the new smartphone.

The giant gadget maker said that this issue can be fixed by installing iOS 17.0.2. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for some users.

If ever you get stuck in the iPhone 15 boot loop bug, here's how you can get out:

Doing a Workaround With a Computer

  1. First, plug your iPhone into a Mac or Windows PC using any compatible USB-C cable.
  2. After that, activate your iPhone's recovery mode.
  3. Then, Mac users need to open their Finder. Windows users should access their iTunes instead.
  4. Once the Restore button appears, click it and it will install the new software.
  5. When the download is complete, you can unplug your iPhone and follow the instructions provided to complete the setup.

MacWorld reported that the iPhone 15 logo freeze was already announced by Apple as one of the issues its consumers might experience.

Aside from this problem, the iPhone maker also confirmed another problem just as concerning as the boot loop. The second issue is more of a physical problem since it involves discoloration of the iPhone 15's casing.

"For iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the oil from your skin might temporarily alter the color of the outside band," said Apple.

But, the gadget manufacturer said that the color can be restored by slightly damping a soft, lint-free cloth on the iPhone 15's affected surface.
