On Thursday, Tenafly Council President Jeffrey D. Grossman and his son, Steven Grossman, were arrested for possession of child pornography.
According to the authorities, both were arrested and charged with a second degree crime in the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Tenafly Council President, Son Commit Pornography Crime
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella declared the arrest of Jeffrey Grossman, a Rochelle Park School District teacher.
According to Musella, Jeffrey Grossman was charged for using the Internet to download nude content of prepubescent and pubescent children.
A social worker, Steven Grossman, was also charged with possessing child-explicit content. The Musella's Cyber Crimes Unit investigated the arrest, including checking the Grossman's home. Per Daily Voice, the prosecutor's office has confirmed in a separate statement on the charges that the men were arrested after the cyber crimes unit searched the suspect's home.
The investigation was reinforced by the county Sheriff's Office and police from Hasbrouck Heights and Tenafly. The Grossman's pending first appearances will be held at the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. Samuel Braverman, an attorney representing the Grossmans, stayed silent about commenting on the charges.

According to North Jersey, Jeffrey D. Grossman's first teaching experience was in Rochelle Park School District, where he taught 6th and 7th grade at the Midland School. After several years of break in teaching, he has returned to teach at Northern Highlands Regional High School and Norwood Elementary School.
Jeffrey Grossman's term in Tenafly as a council president will expire in December. While Steven Grossman is currently working as a social worker, according to the prosecutors. Sue DeNobile, the Rochelle Park K-8 district superintendent, did not promptly respond to comment on the charge of Jeffrey Grossman.
However, Tenafly Mayor Mark Zinna has released a statement saying, "I was shocked to learn of the arrest of our Borough Council President. I think it is in the best interest of the Borough that Mr. Grossman steps down in order that the people's business can continue uninterrupted and without distraction."
Sexual exploitation begins with downloading child sexual abuse material on the Internet, which lies in the child pornography crime. The Grossmans have pleaded guilty to child pornography charges and violated the law Banning Child Prostitution and Child Pornography.
