The Israel-Hamas war concerns the FBI director since he believes this Middle Eastern conflict could put Americans more at risk of terrorist threats.
The defense officials shared his warning on Tuesday, Oct. 31, claiming that the terror attack threats against Americans have been raised to a "whole other level" because of the Middle Eastern war.
Israel-Hamas War Puts Americans More At Risk of Terrorist Threats
According to Fox News' latest report, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that throughout 2023, the terrorism threat across the globe has been elevating.
Now, the Middle Eastern war between Israel and the Hamas militant group is making this issue worse.
"The ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level," said Wray.
As of writing, the relationship between the United States and Israel is becoming stronger since they both want to stop the terror attacks of Hamas.
However, ever since the deadly Hamas attack happened on Oct. 7, the U.S. has also been put at risk since the militant group could inspire other terrorist groups to attack Americans.
Wray warned that even domestic and homegrown terrorists could start becoming active because of the Israel-Hamas war.
"We assess that the actions of Hamas and its allies will serve as an inspiration, the likes of which we haven't seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate several years ago," said the FBI director.
He added that some foreign terrorist groups have threatened the West and Americans for the past few weeks.

What FBI Director Says To Americans
Via CBS News, the FBI director said that now is the time to be concerned since the U.S. is in a very dangerous period because of the Israel-Hamas war and other conflicts across the globe.
However, he clarified that Americans don't need to alter their lives. Although this is the case, Wray said that U.S. residents should still be "watchful."
Wray explained that Americans should not panic because of terrorist threats, but they should always be vigilant.
To prove his point, the FBI official mentioned the recent arrest against a Houston man who was studying how to build bombs and threatening to kill Jews.
He also discussed the death of a 6-year-old Muslim boy in Illinois, which law enforcement believes is a federal hate crime.
