Vladimir Putin Expected to Remain Russian President

According to CNBC's latest report, the Kremlin hasn't officially confirmed if Vladimir Putin will re-run as Russia's president in March 2024.

However, numerous sources familiar with the activities and decisions of Putin said that the 71-year-old Russian leader is set to run in the upcoming 2024 Russian presidential election.

Six anonymous Russian individuals said that Vladimir has little to no political opposition because the president's critics already fled the country. those who didn't do so were systematically jailed.

Because of this, they believe that Vladimir will be in the presidential office until at least 2030 after he wins the upcoming 2024 election. They even claimed that Putin could continue his tenure until 2036.

Aside from these six sources, other analysts in Russia and other countries also agree that Vladimir Putin no longer has any opponents if he really decides to re-run as the Russian president.

"No open public politics exists so there is no possibility for independence, and political and civic activity is immediately crushed," said Russian politician Vladimir Milov.

"We have court sentences right now, with people given prison terms for 'engagement in extremist activities' like criticizing the policies of the government," he added.
