Former hockey player Sean Avery is reportedly going to join "Dancing With the Stars" for Season 18, the New York Post's Page Six reports. Sources told the paper that the former Rangers star was spotted working out in preparation for the show with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.
Recently Avery posted a video of a workout session with Anderson of the two dancing around to Katy Perry's "Dark Horse." The moves weren't quite ballroom-style dance but he does have some rhythm.
There are also rumors that NeNe Leakes ("Real Housewives of Atlanta") and Candace Cameron Bure ("Full House") will also be on the show. Bure, 37, is known for her role as D.J. Tanner on the ABC show, which ended in 1995.
Leakes has been a "Real Housewife" since 2008 but has also appeared on "Glee" and "The New Normal."
According to US Weekly, Bruce Jenner's name can also be added to list of potential contestants. A source told the magazine that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star is "dying to do ['Dancing With the Stars']."
"The show is close to locking him in," the source said.
Other rumored contestants include pop star Cody Simpson and "The Chew" co-host Carla Hall. Back in December, Simpson sparked rumors that he was joining when he tweeted that he was approached to do Season 18. He told his Twitter followers that he would consider the offer and let them know what he decides.
Hall sparked rumors when she told pro dancer Cheryl Burke and Season 3 winner Emmitt Smith that she's always wanted to compete for the Mirror Ball.
"You guys, it's no secret I am dying to be on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" she said as she showed off her dance moves with Smith.
Last season, "Glee" star Amber Riley and her partner Derek Hough won the competition.
The Season 18 cast and their partners will be revealed Mar. 4 on "Good Morning America."
