Former child star Mary-Kate Olsen is engaged to her boyfriend of two years, French banker Oliver Sarkozy, US Weekly confirms. Olsen, 27, and Sarkozy, 44, first surfaced as a couple in 2012 and share a $6.25 million townhouse in New York City together.
This will be the first marriage for the former "Full House" star and the second for Sarkozy. The banker was previously married to Charlotte Bernard and has two kids, Julien, 12, and Margo, 10.
"Mary-Kate has made him a better father. She remembers all the kids' special events," a source told previously told US. "She thinks he's a great dad."
While some people might question the age difference between the couple, the source said Olsen's family loves Sarkozy.
"Mary-Kate's family thinks Oliver is the best thing to happen to her," the source said. "They love him."
The famous twin - her sister is actress Ashley Olsen - usually keeps quiet about her relationships and has rarely done any interviews about her romance with her now-fiancé.
"Everyone has an opinion," she told The Wall Street Journal last year. "I find it better to focus on what's in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other."
It seems like dating older men runs in the family. Ashley is currently linked to "Moneyball" director Bennett Miller, who is 20 years older than her and Elizabeth Olsen, 25, is dating 32-year-old model Boyd Holbrook.
Mary-Kate and Ashley rose to fame as babies when they played Michelle Tanner on the popular show "Full House." They have appeared in other works but have remained to stay out of the spotlight once the show was canceled.
Now, Mary-Kate and Ashley spend most of their time running their fashion label "The Row."
