Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reportedly sent messages to King Charles III and Princess Catherine after their respective households announced their scheduled hospitalizations.
The Princess of Wales was first reported to be recovering after what Kensington Palace called an "abdominal operation" at The London Clinic and was expected to stay in hospital for two weeks before spending the rest of her recovery period at Windsor Castle.
Meanwhile, Charles is currently in preparation for his "corrective procedure" to treat an enlarged prostate this week.
The Daily Mail cited a royal source when it said that Prince Harry - who has since been officially stripped of his Counsellor of State roles alongside his uncle, Prince Andrew and his wife Meghan sent their support to both royals in what was being seen as an olive branch to repair their fractured relationship.
"The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes," the source told The Mirror.
Windsor's Working Royals Down by 3
Last week, Prince William was also spotted visiting Kate at the hospital before apparently picking up their children from school. Another source told The Times that the future King and queen were trying to maintain a sense of "normality" for their children, including 10-year-old Prince George, who is currently second in line for the British throne.
William was also reported to clear off his schedule to be with his wife's side as she recovers. The Prince of Wales's in-laws, the Middletons, were also expected to help his family care for Catherine.
This meant that Queen Camilla and the remaining working members of the slimmed-down House of Windsor would have to compensate for the absence of the King, his son, and his daughter-in-law.
However, Majesty magazine's Joe Little indicated that Charles was said to return after his procedure to continue royal engagement work, among other duties.
