A man who allegedly stabbed at least 11 people at Esenyurt, east of Istanbul, including a little girl, remains at large.
According to local media, police are launching a manhunt after the suspect, who has yet to be named, committed a random stabbing spree on the streets of Esenyurt.
All of the victims were taken to the Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu Hospital for treatment.
Security camera footage also showed how the attacker wandered the streets before pouncing on his victims in broad daylight.
Mehmut Ustel told Turkish news outlet Milliyet that he thought the assailant was joking before he was struck on the leg.
"I immediately fell to the ground," he said. "He is someone I have never met in my life."
