'Batman Vs. Superman' Movie News: Wonder Woman Costume Resembles Gladiator Armor From Ancient Rome; Designer Dishes Batsuit Details? (VIDEO)

"Batman vs. Superman" costume designer Michael Wilkinson continues to tease fans as the big Batsuit and Wonder Woman armor reveal rumors are pointing to sometime in March.

Wilkinson, who is up for an Academy Award for his design work on "American Hustle," caught up with TheWrap while attending their pre-Oscar party. During the interview, the topic of the "Man of Steel 2" costumes came up and Wilkinson was more than willing to dish some details.

"I designed the new Batsuit," the designer told TheWrap (via ComicBookMovie). "I'm designing the new Wonder Woman costume, I'm tweaking the Superman suit, so yeah; I'm glad [to be hearing] good buzz about it."

Wilkinson also talked about the process of designing a Wonder Woman costume befitting to her character.

"It's a thrilling and slightly scary prospect of course. It's so important to get her right," the designer told TheWrap. "She really deserves to be presented on-screen in her full glory, so what I do is look at the history of the character has been presented on the big-screen, small-screen, comic books, and graphic novels; we process it all. Then we kind of put that aside and work out what it right for our film, for the cinematic universe that our director Zack Snyder is putting together. We try to create a Wonder Woman relevant for today's audiences."

The "Batman vs. Superman" costume designer also revealed Wonder Woman's armor (also known as Princess Diana) will resemble that of a Gladiator from Ancient Rome.

"I mean, you just have to look at the Gladiators from ancient Rome, they did their thing... with the shield and everything. Yes, it works for Thor and 300, so let's see what happens," Wilkinson told TheWrap.
