A man was shot dead at a Walmart in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the small town that was made famous by its annual Groundhog Day celebration.
The Pennsylvania State Police said two men got into an argument Monday afternoon that ended in the shooting, WTAJ-TV reported.
The Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company posted on Facebook to avoid the area but did not release any more details.
"The safety of customers and associates is among our top priorities. We will work with law enforcement as they continue their investigation and refer any further questions to the police," the company said in a statement to WJAC-TV.
The alleged shooter was taken into custody. Their name was not immediately available.
The name of the victim was not released.
