UK's Princess Kate 'Takes Out Trash' in New York: Latest Photo Fake as Agency Pokes Fun at Royal Scandal

A cheeky mashup from the city's Department of Sanitation plays on British Photoshop-gate

The New York City Sanitation Department is having some fun with the conspiracy rumors surrounding Kate Middleton.

The trash agency posted a poorly Photoshopped image of Princess Kate with a trash can.

"Kate's been found! She's putting her trash out in bins!" the post on X stated.

"Be like Kate," it continued with a link to the city's sanitation page that reminds people to use bins when they put their trash out. The city has new rules that require bins to be used in an effort to help control rats, probably something the British royal has had to be concerned with in her life.

The post is making fun of a photoshop controversy surrounding Kate Middleton and questions about her whereabouts after being out of the public eye for months.

She had not been seen since having surgery in January, causing royal watchers and fans to take to social media with wild speculation about her health.

A photo released for Mother's Day in the U.K. didn't help.

It was quickly discovered by online sleuths that it was photoshopped.

Photo agencies like the Associated Press pulled the photo since the digital manipulation broke their rules.

Kate took the blame saying she was an amateur photographer and had attempted to adjust the image.

As for the New York City Sanitation Department photo, the official City of New York X account later replied to the social posting of the Kate photo with the caption: "BREAKING: upon investigation, this image has been photoshopped."
