Wisconsin Woman Who Claimed Boy, 3, Died After Fall Allegedly Texted She Was 'Ready to Hurt' Kids

Samantha Wishman faces homicide charges after a lengthy investigation

A woman who claimed her boyfriend's 3-year-old son died in an accidental fall down a flight of stairs is now facing homicide charges, after a series of eyebrow-raising text messages she sent to her boyfriend were found by authorities.

The Marinette Police Department said that Samantha J Wishman, 32, reported the incident last June.

She claimed the toddler had fallen down the stairs the previous night while his father was working an overnight shift at a factory.

The responding officer say the father performing CPR on the boy in the bathroom. The officer took over and found the boy to be cold with his lips turning blue.

An ambulance arrived to take the boy to the hospital. The father "seemed frantic and wanted to go to the hospital" but Wishman "seemed more calm in the situation" the officer noted in a criminal complaint.

The boy died at the hospital. He already had what the officer described as a "fairly strong odor of decomposition" and had significant bruising on his head and other parts of his body.

The medical examiner determined that some of the child's injuries were not consistant with a fall.

Now, months later, the child's death has been ruled non-accidental, the police said in a release.

Wishman was shared with first-degree reckless homicide and neglecting a child that died.

Investigators had accessed Wishman's phone records and found numerous text messages she allegedly sent to the boy's father before the boy's death.

"I'm ready to hurt these mother f------ kids nobody f------ understands I can't breathe so this is so much harder n now I'm having more problems breathing," she allegedly wrote, according to the criminal complaint.

Another described the alleged fall down the stairs.

"His one side of his face probably will b brusied when he wakes up. Side of his head was the start of one n under his eye that what I noticed. He wasn't bruised on his belly or back but I will b checking in the morning."

"I just really hate my f---- life," her final text of the overnight said.

There were five other children in the home. When interviewed by police, one of them reported that Wishman slapped and used a belt as discipline on at least one of the children.

Police arrested her after an extensive investigation into the case.

Wishman is due in court on April 15. It is unclear if she has an attorney to speak on her behalf.
