Country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of a bar in Nashville that nearly hit cops on the street below, according to authorities and reports.
The incident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at the bar Chief's in downtown Nashville.
Police saw the chair flying off the roof and hitting the street a feet away from them.
Bar security said that Wallen, 30, had thrown the chair from the sixth-floor roof, and witnesses said he laughed after tossing the furniture, according to the arrest report. Wallen was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. A photo appearing to show Wallen in the back of a police car was posted on a local website's Instagram account.
Wallen's bond was set at $15,250. Jail records show that he was released at about 3:30 a.m. Monday.
Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a brief statement saying the singer was "cooperating fully" in the investigation.
The singer got his start on NBC's "The Voice" and performed hits like "Wasted on You."
He is scheduled to perform at the University of Mississippi on April 20.
