An Oregon woman who claims she was "abruptly and forcefully" jolted from her driver's seat when she drove over a pothole in Portland is suing the city, county and state for $3.66 million, according to a report.

Gillian Conroy alleges in the suit that she is suffering from a number of ailments, "including a concussion, traumatic brain injury, tinnitus, torn rotator cuff, and numerous cuts, scrapes, and bruises," OregonLive reported on Wednesday.

Her lawyers say she was driving on Southwest Capitol Highway on April 22, 2022, when she ran over the pothole, causing her head to hit the ceiling of the car.

She said the pothole couldn't be seen from a distance.

The suit says the city, Multnomah County and the state of Oregon knew or should have been aware about the hazardous road condition before.

Representatives of the city, county and state declined comment because of the pending litigation.

The lawsuit says Conroy has already amassed $60,000 in medical bills and is looking at another $100,000 in medical costs. It also seeks an estimated $2 million in lost future earnings and $1.5 milion for pain and suffering.
