Donald Trump's long-time assistant Rhona Graff testified Friday that he once mentioned that adult film star Stormy Daniels — whom Graff saw in Trump's offices — could be an "interesting" contestant on his reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice."
"I vaguely recall hearing him [Trump] say that she was one of the people that may be an interesting contestant on the show," Graff testified, CNN reported.
Information for Daniels, as well as for Karen McDougal — who also allegedly had an affair with Trump — was stored among the Trump Organzaition contacts, Graff testified.
Trump is being tried on 34 felony counts for allegedly illegally used business funds to pay off Daniels to keep her claimed sexual affair with him hidden from voters just weeks ahead of 2016 presidential election.
Graff otherwise largely testified to confirm various calendar appointments and contact information for the Trump Organization. Graff spoke warmly of Trump, and described him as a "respectful" boss who valued her work.
As she left the witness stand, Trump stood up from the defense table, appeared to say something to her, and moved toward her in an apparent effort to shake her hand, according to a number of reports.
Last on the stand before court was adjourned was a banker who detailed talks with Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen to set up an LLC account that prosecutors say Cohen used to funnel money to Daniels to buy her secrecy.
Banker Garry Farro, who worked at First Republic Bank at the time, said Cohen was assigned to him because he had an "ability to handle individuals that may be a little challenging."
Farro added: "Frankly, I didn't find him all that difficult."
Most of the day was taken up with cross examintion of former National Enquirer publisher Pecker, who has testified that he, Trump and Cohen schemed to supress any negative coverage of Trump in the publication, and highlight negative stories about his rivals. He detailed the $130,000 to Daniels.
