Shooting Near Drake’s Toronto Home Leaves 1 Injured

Singer Drake's Toronto home was reportedly close to the scene of a shooting on Tuesday morning.

The Toronto Police say the shooting took place just after 2 a.m. in the area of Bayview Ave. and Lawrence Ave. East.

A man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The shooter took off in a vehicle and remained on the loose.

Drake's house was surrounded by police tape and officers were seen scouring the area, although there is no evidence to indicate that Drake was involved or the intended target.

Toronto Police Operations said it did not have a description of the gunman.

Drake was not injured in the shooting, TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources.

Kendrick Lamar has been in a public spat with Drake but there was no indication that it had any connection to the shooting.

No other details on the incident were immediately available.
