A shootout between family members across several crime scenes resulted in a triple homicide in central Kentucky.

Angela Gosser, 56, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, shot and killed her sister and husband Friday, before her brother fatally shot her, according to authorities.

The preliminary investigation indicates the series of deadly events unfolded when Gosser's husband, Larry Gosser, 73, was trimming trees on their property, and she shot him to death, police said, according to WYMT-TV.

Gosser then drove to Russell County, where she met up with her sister, Jennifer Wilson, 57, on the road and fired several shots into the passenger side of Wilson's vehicle, killing her. Afterwards, Gosser made her way to the Jamestown, Kentucky, home of her brother, Darryl Wilson, 58.

Gosser broke into his house and a shootout between the siblings ensued, resulting in Gosser's death. Wilson suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police.

A motive in the domestic shooting spree remain under investigation.
