Several Hollywood stars are backing Kevin Spacey's return to acting following sexual misconduct allegations in 2017.
Sharon Stone, Stephen Fry, and Liam Neeson are a few who have voiced their support, calling for Spacey's return to the big screen.
The once-disgraced actor was found not guilty last year of all charges of sexual assault against four men between 2001 and 2013, and in 2022, a US court dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit against him.
Vocal support for Spacey emerged following the release of a Channel 4 documentary called 'Spacey Unmasked,' which was broadcast earlier this month and featured testimony from several of the men accusing the actor.
Spacey has vehemently denied the allegations of inappropriate behavior featured in the documentary.
"I take full responsibility for my past behavior and my actions," he told BBC News.
"But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who's made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me."
"I can't wait to see Kevin back at work. He is a genius. He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault, and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will,"Sharon Stone told the media outlet.
Stephen Fry and Liam Neeson also advocated for the actor, with Fry stating that while Spacey has often been "clumsy and inappropriate," to "devote a whole documentary to accusations that simply do not add up to crimes, how can that be considered proportionate and justified?"
Neeson doubled down on the sentiments, revealing,
"Kevin is a good man and a man of character. Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly."
Spacey maintains his innocence and, in an interview with The Telegraph, said there was a "rush to judgment" against him as the MeToo movement was growing in Hollywood.
