Police in the Canary Islands arrested three people connected to a Belgian couple who went missing in Aril. The woman's dismembered body was found off the coast later that month.

A man was reportedly stabbed with a machete in both legs in Times Square on Thursday afternoon.

It happened near a McDonald's according to the New York Post.

The FDNY said it got a call about a reported stabbing at West 45th Street and Broadway around 10 a.m., WNBC-TV reported.

The reason for the attack was not immediately available.

Three men were seen running away after the attack.

The NYPD said one suspect was wearing jeans and a black shirt, one was wearing a Wu Tang shirt and another was in jeans and a black shirt.

Several people were taken into custody Sixth Avenue and West 52nd Street and 660 Fifth Avenue, according to WABC.

EMS took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. He was expected to survive.

The area where the attack took place is one of New York's busiest tourist districts. It has also seen several high-profile crimes in recent years.

In February, a tourist was shot in Times Square. A 15-year-old migrant from Venezuela  was arrested in connection with that incident.
