Man Accused of Stabbing 6 in Massachusetts Movie, McDonald's Spree Called 'Weirdo'

'Jared was always tanning. He looked like a Californian surfer. He was a bit orange.'

More details are coming out about the man arrested for allegedly stabbing four girls at a Boston-area movie theater and two other adults in a separate attack.

Jared Ravizza, 26, allegedly stabbed the girls as they watched the movie "IF" at a Braintree AMC theater and two people at a McDonalds. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday morning after Massachusetts police arrested him on Saturday evening.

Neighbors described him as a "weirdo" who likes to work out.

Ravizza was "standoffish" and "was never friendly," neighbors told the New York Post.

"Jared was always tanning," another neighbor told the paper. "He looked like a Californian surfer. He was a bit orange. He was obviously using something to tan himself."

They said he had started dressing more feminine and may have been undergoing an identity change.

The girls, between the ages of nine and 17, were stabbed in the theatre without any apparent warning or provocation. All survived. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The attacker entered the theater without paying. "Inside ... he encountered four young females. Without saying anything and without any warning, he suddenly attacked and stabbed" them, the Braintree Police Department wrote in a statement.

He fled in a vehicle as the Braintree Fire and Police Departments and the Brewster paramedics responded to the scene.

Less than an hour later, a 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were stabbed in a McDonalds. They were both treated at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

State troopers tracked down the suspect's vehicle in the town of Sandwich thanks to a description, and gave chase when the driver failed to pull over. Troopers gave chase when the driver refused to pull over.

"The suspect crashed the vehicle and was taken into custody shortly thereafter by Sandwich and State Police. He is currently being treated at an area hospital," Massachusetts State Police reported.

Ravizza is also being investigated for his possible connection to a murder in Connecticut. Police found a body in Deep River on Saturday, WFTX-TV reported. He has not been charged in connection with that case.
