The Trump campaign claimed it has raised $34.8 million in contributions since the former president was found guilty Thursday of making hush money payments to a former porn star before the 2016 presidential election.

"Today, the Trump campaign announced a record shattering small dollar fundraising haul following the sham Biden Trial verdict totaling $34.8 million — nearly double the biggest day ever recorded for the Trump campaign on the WinRed platform," campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles wrote on X.

"Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats with their election interference political witch hunt have awakened the MAGA movement like never before," it added.

The Trump campaign began an all-out effort to appeal for contributions immediately after the former president was found guilty of 34 counts in Manhattan criminal court.

Within an hour of the verdict, WinRed crashed.

"The American people see through Crooked Joe Biden's rigged show trial," Trump's campaign posted. "So many Americans were moved to donate to President Trump's campaign that the WinRed pages went down. We are working on getting the website back online as quickly as possible."
