The mom of a 6-week-old baby boy who was tragically killed by the family's husky is issuing a dire warning to other parents.
"It could be any dog at any time, completely unprovoked, no matter what the history is," cautioned Chloe Mansoor, the boy's mother, in an interview with WYMT.
As previously reported by HNGN, Ezra Mansoor had been in critical condition at East Tennessee Children's Hospital after the infant had been attacked by the family's husky. Ezra was asleep in his crib at the time of the attack.
Tragically, Ezra did not survive his wounds and was pronounced dead on Thursday afternoon.
During their time of grief, Mansoor and her family hope their story encourages others to be vigilant about having dogs around small children.
"Being his mom was the biggest honor and the best thing I've ever done," Chloe Mansoor said, accrording to the WYMT.
Despite being deeply devastated, Mark and Chloe find comfort in knowing that other children will receive the gift of life through his organ donation.
The family dog has been impounded and police are conducting an investigation due to the death.
