A vicious road rage incident that left an elderly woman unconscious at a California airport has prompted a manhunt for the attacker.

Surveillance cameras at LAX captured the violent incident which occurred around 9:30 a.m. on May 31, according to a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific-LAX Division.

The camera footage shows the elderly victim checking her luggage curbside near three other individuals.

While she stood between her car and the curb, two men, embroiled in a fistfight due to a road rage incident, charged off the sidewalk and violently struck her on the head. The impact rendered her unconscious and inflicted serious injuries.

One of the suspects involved in the fight, seen shirtless in the surveillance footage, turned himself in to the police and was subsequently arrested.

The other man was later identified as Jason Givens Sr., 38, and the police are currently searching for him.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department rushed the woman to the hospital in critical condition.

The LAPD says she has since been released from the hospital.

"The most shocking thing, and the reason we're asking for the public's help, is after this happened, both the individuals failed to render aid," LAPD Det. Scott Danielson told KTLA-TV. "Our victim here could be your mother or your grandmother."

"Givens is known to drive a silver Chevrolet sedan, license plate 5UAL384," a release stated. "This vehicle has visible damage to the front passenger door."
